Hi all, it has been a while since I was last here an dhope you're all coping ok, but i'm concerned regards certain readings being marked as above range, I'm still struggling somewhat, currently still on empagliflozin, Novorapid and i've been given ezetimibe. I'm supposed to have toujeo but like i keep telling them, it burns me when i inject no matter where so I've become quite fed up with it. my waking bloods right now seems to be between 8 -12mmol and yet, i'm on a very low carb diet, i don't think I consume above 30 a day trouble is I find it almost impossible to excercise only some days walking is quite an issue with my hips and groins feeling like a cheese grater and my legs literally hurt to walk on and when I tell the heatlh professionals they give me that puzzled look.
I have an appointment on the 11th at the healthy living clinic, so long as they don't try and push me to eat grains and other carbs i hope it shall go ok. Looking at my results and to be honest i'm clueless, but a couple of readings concern me wondering if the NHL has returned or what, I do have constant infections in my gums, i've had 5 taken out in under 14 months, I was waiting so long to get an appointment when they did take three out in one go the roots had gone necrotic so no wonder I've issues if my body is trying to fight infections like that and all they said, oh, we can see why you were in pain!
I'm having another taking out within the next couple of months and more work to try and save the front ones, meanwhile i'm no better off and my count is always high, I even started taking Vanadium to try and help somehow though strangely enough, my HBA1C has gone down from 98 to 75 in a mere few months which is good I suppose, it was 120 for a year following the radiotherapy and has continued to go down marginally every year since.
I'm in constant anxiety too which apparently doesn't help, lost my hubby last year after 22 years though it's all good and I'm actually ok and getting by, the last 2-3 years of his life he drove me nuts as he had cancer too and it went to his brain and he done a lot of crazy stuff so i'm actually grateful he's gone to a better place but hes left a right aftermath that i've had to try and resolve and i'm still not done quite yet. Anyhow, enough of that!
I was hoping to get my bloods down by doing this carnivore thing but i'm doing something wrong because every time i've started it i've neded up in hospital with DKA only they've told me to keep taking the canagliflozin and i believe it's that which is doing it, I'm not asking anyone to tell me what to take or not, but any advice with this would be really helpful, i feel like i'm almost on the right path, i've lost two stones too and feeling much better for it but i'm still getting those high morning sugars. The only time i can get down to say 5-6 mmol is if i don't eat all day long and only have the one early evening meal, trouble is, like someone else mentioned here, I'm absolutely starving all the time to the point of having the shakes or jitters, th eonly time i can stop them if i break my cycle and have a low carbzone wrap with a low or zero carb filling but it still spikes me.
