2.5 is low. The guidelines say 3 to 4 (diabetics) and 3 to 5 (non diabetics). Have you got the breakdown? LDL/HDL/triglycerides? If not it may be an idea to ask for a print out of your test results and see exactly what yours were. The breakdown is important rather than the total.
