Remember you have to learn to walk before you can run, I think in light of your retinopathy problems you are wise to reduce your Hba1c slowly and not cause further damage.

I went from 14 in February, to 8.7 in April to 6.1 in September. Some pretty big drops which I wasn't expecting! It's made me a little lazy which is not good. I'm having another hba1c in 2 weeks just before DAFNE. I think I will have gone up, but I'll be disappointed if it's gone up above 7!
