Just got back from the GP's for my 3-monthly checkup.
HbA1c result good (now 38, down from 46 last September), which was in line with the results I'd got from looking at the averages from my meter and using the conversion charts at: http://www.diabetes.co.uk/hba1c-to-blood-sugar-level-converter.html
Everything else is OK, according to the doc - who, IME, one of the better ones and gave me plenty of time to discuss matters - except for vitamin D. That was borderline deficient and I've been given a supplement to see if that helps.
What I really wanted to say though was a very big thank you to everyone on this forum. I know it's been said many times before but the help and encouragement, debate and sound advice has been invaluable, and I don't think I could have done anywhere near as well without it.
Bless you all.
Tom.
