hello! Im not sure if this can be answered, but here goes! I was diagnosed 16 months ago, and have followed a moderate LCHF diet since then (30-70gm carb per day). My 3 monthly results have shown a steady decrease - I cant remember my initial one, but after 3 months my results were 47, then 43, 34 and currently 32 which I am delighted at. I started off with 1500mg metformin, then last December that was halved, and from last month, we are trying zero! My question is.... my diet has not changed since going LCFH from the start, yet my hba1c goes lower and lower. As I say I am delighted but Im just trying to understand the science/reason for that, considering i have eaten the same from the start? I have lost 4 stone 3lb since i started - could it just be that? thank you
