Headache pills.

Please can anyone tell me the best headache pills to use when diabetic. I have had diabetes type 2. for the last 17 months. Diet only. Readings 4.8 before breakfast around 7.5 after meals. Thanks Sheila.

Hi Shiela.

Paracetemol etc should be sufficient for most people but as with any pills you take you really need to either ask your Pharmacist as he/she will be familiar with ALL your medications. If not then discuss with your GP. Are you getting many headaches or is this just a general question ?

Ken.

Hi Ken, thanks for the fast reply. I am only on 1 aspirin each morning, diabetes controlled by diet only. I have been having a giddy headache recently, but as I dont do pills, I was wondering which is the best to take. I am 72 years old. I had a retinopathy test in April which was fine and no problems. However I ordered new glasses and the reading glasses gave me bad headaches. I took them back after a couple of months and they replaced them with new glasses and a thicker lens. These seem now to be okay.

Hi Shiela.

I really think that you should talk to your GP about this. The headache and giddyness needs investigating properly. There could be any number of reasons for it, not all Diabetes related.

Please see your GP.

Ken.
