@Lorna Tinker i had this a few years ago then it was three weeks of antibiotics I was fine after this, but I had also Gastro Esophogeal Reflux disease which caused acid reflux sickness after eating I eventually had surgery for GERD has it's called about 8/9 years ago I've been absolutely fine since and can now eat anything. Perhaps you should look further into what is still causing your problem,I'm not suggesting it's GERD but if it is H Pylori you should not be feeling has you do now.! KI am type 2 db taking tablets and insulin. On the 13th April 2018 after having an endoscope I was diagnosed with H pylori. This is a bacteria that lives in the lining of your stomach. It causes vomiting, wind, loose bowels. I was put on two different antibiotics and a reflux tablet. I have finished the tablets but I am still being sick and have no appetite. I am finding it hard to keep my sugar levels in check. Has any one else gone through a similar thing.
Hi, yeah, I had the anti biotic, but I did not have the vomiting. But I would projectile vomit if I had any dairy especially butter or cream. I have a high intolerance to dairy.I am type 2 db taking tablets and insulin. On the 13th April 2018 after having an endoscope I was diagnosed with H pylori. Thank your for your reply I have an appointment this week with the doctor. I am taking tablets to stop me being sick but it does not take the feeling away. I burp constantly but do not get acid reflux. I feel as tho something is in the back of my throat and I can not clear it. It is really getting me down now.

Hi, Lorna.Thank you Lamont for your reply. I have been on a low carb diet for a few months now. I do not eat a lot of dairy products. I have not had a problem with dairy products in the past. I will be seeing the doctor this week. Hopefully I can get some answers.
It was high I can not remember the figures. That is why I changed to the low carb diet.Hi, Lorna.
Do you know your last Hba1c?

I'm wondering if bariatric surgery patients who end up with RH may have had that condition undiagnosed or treated. We get an endoscopy now to treat it if it's present before the op.Hi, yeah, I had the anti biotic, but I did not have the vomiting. It's almost like I am allergic to dairy, but I'm not.
Could it be something similar?
Unfortunately, about the same time, I was having symptoms, which lead to a misdiagnosis of T2. Not to say that is happening to you, but those symptoms led to my eventual diagnosis of reactive hypoglycaemia. It can be caused by heliocobacter pylori, I have read this in a few papers. Indeed it is mentioned on Wikipedia on the RH page.
Since the antibiotics and the diagnosis of RH, my stomach which also had a hiatus hernia, has been great. I eat a very low carb diet, refraining from dairy, complex carbs, including wheat, starchy vegetables such as potatoes, oats, pasta, pastries and so on.
This has improved my health so much.
Your blood glucose levels are all over the place?
Well only diet can solve this, and after nearly two decades later, very low carb is the only way, I know, of controlling my condition, my diet, my health.
I would ask your GP, specialist (if you have one) to give you the tests.
What do you regularly eat? Do you keep a food diary?
What is your fasting levels (first thing before breakfast) or fasting Hba1c levels?
Hope this helps.
Best to know though. Then able to get rid of it for good.Hi all just spoken to a doctor from my surgery and got an appointment to see my usual doctor tomorrow morning. When I visited my doctor a week ago she told me they do not retest anyone who has H pylori. She quoted that the stool sample will always come back infected once you have had the H pylori. The only way to tell is to have another endoscope. I really do not want to go back on antibiotics I was on them for a week 2800 mg a day. They made me feel so bad.
