Oooo-kaayy. I've calmed down now. BP is getting back to normal. Steam no longer coming from my ears.....
Don't know why I'm making such a fuss - you all told me what to expect. Saw the DSN this afternoon, explained what I've done so far to lower BG levels: no more sugar in tea, no cakes, choccy or bikkies. I offered to translate my alcohol intake into units but she said that was her job! I said how pleased I was that this week's pre-breakfast urine tests were all negative but what I really wanted, was to test my BG........oh dear.
The reply was, "you don't need to test your blood. That's my job. You come and see me every six weeks or so and I'll do it". So no machine.
Do I even need to say what the dietary advice was? Eat everything, including rice, pasta, potatoes, yadda, yadda.
Don't forget I'm just a newbie. I reckon I've got some decisions to make. And if she's reading this, I'm dead meat.
