You can't know whether you're having actual hypo's without a meter and testing right that moment. There's a bunch of things that can feel like a hypo while they're not, so yeah, a meter'd be an excellent idea! While T2's bloodsugars usually go up, not down, there is such a thing as reactive hypoglycemia in non-diabetics, so.... Do check, as that would in all likelyhood not show up in a HbA1c at all. And it'd be good to know what's going on. If bloodsugars are normal and in range all the time, there might be something else going on. Still good reason to see a GP.
