Have just joined. I am type2 on oral medication using Metformin.
Last week I suffered a Type I anaphalytic shock because of a sudden reaction to penicillin.
I was put on steroids and anti hystamines as well as being given shots of adrenalin when it happened.
My blood sugar levels have rocketed and so too has my blood pressure.
What should I be doing to get my diabetes under control. Any ideas?

Hello tcdee and welcome to the forum, :)

Poor you, you seem to have had a rotten time of it just lately.

I know nothing of this sort of thing but would think it would take a while to normalise from all the shocks to your system. Hopefully someone will come along shortly who can help. :)

If you are still on Steroids etc then you are going to have great difficulty until they are totally out of your system. You should discuss this with your GP or DSN.

You may be able to adjust your diet to help control the levels, depends how high they are.

hya and welcome ,
you are having a rubbish time arent you, your bloods may be high for a few reasons, there is the reason u had antibiotics in the first place, steroids and the shock, if you have finished the steroids and still having difficulty plz see your health care provider, as already said ..a change in your diet may help too,
hope things are soon looking better
aj :D
