Liars and ignorant people.
Hi,Im Tracy,38 (on Tuesday),Im married to Chris and we have 3 children,19,13,and 5,Im from sunny Kent.I have been diagnosed just on Tuesday as type 2 Diabetic.I met a fab diabetes doctor yesterday who really put my mind at ease.My 1st reading was 14.4,then i had a fasting blood test which came back yesterday at 17,and the one that really scared me yesterday was 25.4,I was hysterical crying on the phone to my doctors receptionist, thinking i was going to die!!!! Even though i felt okish.Thats when the doctor called me and asked me to go in to the surgery. He was brilliant and recommended i join this forum. He has put me on Metformin. My mum has type 2 also, but I dont really speak to my family so cant ask her advise on Diabetes.
I didnt really have any symptoms (or so i thought) I usually go to bed at 1am and im up at 6.30 to get the kids up for school,so put that down to me always feeling tired,I drink quite alot of coffee,so again that was normal for me,I was going to the loo alot more, but didnt think anything of it,i also had alot of ear infections, but didnt for one moment think this was anything to do with anything if that makes sense. So thats me lol.Look forward to chatting.
Tracy.

Hi Tracy,

Welcome to the forum. I'm fairly newly diagnosed too. The people on here are fantastic and have helped me get my head around the whole thing.

People who are touchy.......feign indignation at the slightest thing. Hypocrites, bullies and cowards.
Hi Tracy.
Welcome to the forum. Have a good look around and if you want ask questions.

Your GP sounds like an excellent person. Stick with him. He obviously knows that this forum is the best for Diabetic's on the net. We already know that. We can give you all the help and support you need right here.

Hi Tracey
Welcome
Somewhere on these boards is pretty much all you'll want to know. If you have specific questions, there'll probably be someone along who can answer them.
You might find the "stickies" threads useful in the meantime.
