Hello - I'm new :)

My name is Laura and I just came across this site today when googling a query I had on diabetes. Both myself and my husband are type 1 diabetics. I took it aged 12, and without deliberately giving my age away, have had it now for almost 25 years. My husband has had it for 16 years and it was pure coincidence we met and were both diabetic.

I will stop rabbiting on now. Just wanted to say hello. Looking forward to reading other peoples questions and answering from my own experience and also finding out information relating to my own circumstances.

I'm Type 2, and have found this forum a great help since joining in January. I'm sure your experience (and your husband's) will be very valuable to other Type 1s on here, particularly newbies.

Hi Laura and welcome to the forum I think your advice will be very useful to many members who need help. In the meantime have a good look round and make yourself at home. For the information you need we have a good search engine which may help you find your answers, or else feel free to post as many questions as you like and we will all try to help you
