Hi @MTS1980,
I am not registered as a doctor but if you look up the side-effects of Metformin one of them is a low Vitamin B12 level.
Low B12 levels are known to affect the nervous system.
There may be a number of other reasons for your observations unrelated to Metformin use so please check with your doctor about the B12 and everything else.

It's easy to assume that any new symptoms are related to diabetes or to new medications, but it's always quite possible that the symptoms are unrelated. This is where your doctor's diagnostic skills come into their own, particularly when combined with some blood tests. :).

But I had never experienced these symptoms before so I think it's metformin related thanks for your very kind input certainly I will think about it

Hi again @MTS1980,
The timing between your symptoms and Metformin usage is suggestive but some medical conditions can occur over time for no apparent rhyme or reason. Not being a registered health professional I cannot hazard a guess as there are many possibilities 'on the books' or 'on the 'net', separate from Metformin use.
Your doctor has the training and expertise to start the process and refer you to an appropriate specialist if an answer is not forthcoming. Hopefully the process of finding the answer will be straightforward.

Taking metformin can reduce the benefit of vitamin b12

Symptoms of Vitamin B12 Deficiency

If you have vitamin B12 deficiency, you could become anemic. A mild deficiency may cause no symptoms. But if untreated, it may lead to symptoms such as:

Weakness, tiredness, or lightheadednessHeart palpitations and shortness of breathPale skinA smooth tongueConstipation, diarrhea, loss of appetite, or gas Nerve problems like numbness or tingling, muscle weakness, and problems walkingVision lossMental problems like depression, memory loss, or behavioral changes
