Nothing easily comes to mind.
I have type 2 diabetes and have been diagnosed with Painful soles of my feet, diabetic neuropathy. I am on strong cleaners called Gabapentin 900 mg (3 tablets 3 times a day). This is making extremely painful to walk and ranging from a strong tickling sensation to agonising pain and I have been told there is no quick fix for this.

Has anyone else had any experience of this kind of pain and any successful treatment methods they have tried.

Thank you and hello to you all.

Ian

My feet hurt for a different reason, so I can't say I've been there. (Just my thyroid acting up sometimes). But if you have neuropathic pain in your feet, I gather Amitriptyline may help? It's an antidepressant, but it's used for that purpose too. How are your bloodsugar levels? Are they under control? I think I saw somewhere you're on insulin? So I can't exactly give you the "go low carb" spiel as it might make you hypo.... But I do think it would help a whole lot painwise if your BS was under tight(er?) control. Something to discuss with your doctor?

Hi @IanDH, Hello and sorry to hear of your troubles.
May I ask: For how long have you been taking the Gabapentin? and at that dosage?
Are you prescribed any other treatment for your feet? And what treatment of your diabetes?
And how well and easy to control?
I am hoping that this information will make it easier to give suggestions!!
