Hello!

My goto treat.

Dry fry a few flaked almonds so they are toasted.
Nuke a couple of squares of 85pc chocolate in a ramekin dish
Add a few berries, a splash of double cream and top with the almonds.
Eat with a teaspoon!

Google keto chocolate mug cake. Ready in 90 seconds, serve with double cream.

You definitely can mate. Seriously, cutting carbs was easy compared to other diets.... sure it took me a while
To find the right balance as at first I went fully zero carb and that wasn’t good... but once I got the right balance things were much easier. Just gotta think about how much positive impact your having on your body and the blood glucose testing at home reinforces that! It’ll become second nature soon and you’ll see the difference. Good luck mate

This all so helpful, thanks!
I did try and prepare before shopping, as at the moment it’s very much supposed to be, you touch it you buy it but of course the nutritional values on the boxes don’t show carbs so without turning the packets you can’t see

I did get a selection of nuts for snacking but made a slight error with cashew nuts as they are much higher, but having a couple alongside the Brazil’s and walnuts will likely be okay

I am missing the treats. Though the yoghurt was nice. Not sure if Atkins chocolate sold on amazon is going to work, it’s not cheap either so shall leave that for now
Forget Atkins chocolate, it's full of Maltitol and if you're constipated, that's great, but if you're not... Steer clear. Just get yourself some really good quality extra dark chocolate. I love Lindt 85% as it's not too expensive, and a bar lasts me a while. Sometimes I'll go to a specialty shop near here and get crazy luxury chocolate bars fro all over the world, (Very dark Peruvian.... Oh ye gods!). Really, if you're going to splash out on chocolate, get the good stuff, not the gives-you-the-runs-and-still-breaks-the-bank stuff. It's tastier and will last you longer, as the darker it is, the less you need to get your fill. If you don't like extra dark, try it with butter, cream, or a nut or two. I really like the peruvian stuff though, often has some vanilla or some fruity, flowery flavour in there that I can't quite place, but makes my toes dance with sheer joy. And then there's a luxury chocolate place down in Tilburg, where my mom still lives, and they make praliné's with either maltitol or sorbitol, I can never remember which, but having one or two a day right after dinner doesn't give any gastric problems. (Five, however... Yeah.). So if chocolate's really your thing, get in touch with chocolatiers near you, see what they have. The one in the next town over actually walked with me through the shop once, to point out all the chocolate bars I could have... And not too long afterwards there was a shelf dedicated to low carb/sugar chocolates. :)

...I love chocolate, can you tell? Anyway... Cashews, I have them sometimes, as both my inlaws and my mum get me nuts to snack on (It's not a proper visit unless you eat. Sigh.). Just make them last a while, don't go for the whole bag -indeed, get your nut kicks with the walnuts and Brazilnuts alongside them- and you should be perfectly fine. Or toss some shopped ones in the yoghurt. ;)
