Hello
I'm Yvonne and new to the forum today. I'm a 62 year old Nurse with 4 children and 4 grandchildren, a husband and a dog.
I was diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes in 2017, and struggle with meals, and things.
I try to eat healthily. I would like to loose some weight.
I take Metformin twice a day.
Hi @Vonnie B and welcome to the forum.
Parallel lives or what? Well nearly!
I'm a 62 year old (retired) Nurse with 2 children and 0 grandchildren, a husband and no dog.
I was diagnosed Type 2 in 2017!
I found this forum the night of my diagnosis and immediately started a low carb diet and self monitoring of blood sugars, to see how different meals affected my blood sugars. I have had non diabetic HbA1cs since four months after diagnosis and lost a shed load of weight too.
Here is a link to some info posted by one of our members which i’m sure you’ll find helpful: https://josekalsbeek.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-nutritional-thingy.html
@Rachox already shared the Thingy, which should/could help with the meals and basics. If there's anything we can help with, do give a shout. Always someone around with answers. So anything you run in to, big or small, throw it out there.
Again, welcome,
Jo
