Just diagnosed with type, following blood test for unrelated condition, which showed a1c was 49. . Have had dry mouth at night since last summer so I guess it's been around since then. Am very much into running but lost my fitness last year due to injury, arthritic hip and a chest infection. Was puzzled that I was struggling to get it back - couldnt build any stamina. Guess I know why now.
Am on metformin, but also aiming to get my weight down and get back into running. Don't miss chocolate but I do miss salty snacks

If you are craving a salty snack try serious pig snacking cheese. It’s in some shops and also on Amazon. A good crunchy hit. There are also cheesies which are similar. Or of course pork scratchings which are crunchy, salty, and shouldn’t raise your blood sugar.
