Hello all
Just a bit about myself and diabetes.
I've been a type 1 diabetic for nearly 30 years. (Where has the time gone!!) I started off on 2 injections of Humulin I. Switched after a year to the then new Novopen Actrapid, the one with 1.5ml cartridges (still got it in a drawer somewhere) and Ultratard. Then moved to the 3ml Actrapid cartridge Novopen with Ultratard and have now been on the Flexpen with NovoRapid and Levemir for the last few years,
I do quite a bit of cycling in my spare time and I am very interested in CGM as it's a bit tricky trying to check your blood whilst riding a bike! (Although I have seen it done - lancets, strips and all). It seems a good system to enable better control of diabetes as well. Obviously it's not routinely given on the NHS due to cost but I'm keen to find out more - so hopefully I'll find out more information from people that are using it on here.
Regards
Matt
