Hi All,

I am Gerry, 41 years old, from West Lothian in Scotland.

I was diagnosed type 2 around Four years ago or so and fair to say I probably buried my head in the sand for too long.

I finally started making positive changes in January and tbh I have started to see a dramatic improvement.

I wish I had stumbled across this forum earlier as no doubt I would have learned more quickly the effect of making these basic changes would have had.

I'm also a T2 (on insulin and Janumet 50/1000) but I'm based in the US so I might not be able to answer specific medical-type questions but I can listen to vents and applaud good efforts. Hope you enjoy the forums here.

One question - do you have your blood sugar meter yet?

Your post has reminded me that I need to get my head back out of the sand and back up onto the beachhead that I took right after dx and can hold again, with the support of allies here.
