help do I take or miss my insulin

Hi could someone help I have had my insulin changed as old stopped being made so gone from inhuman basal to new one humblin this was done by prescription I never saw my doctor or nurse when I got from the chemist was told not to use until I speak to nurse or doctor I want to doctors today no appointments so asked for telephone call I waited till 4.0I phoned them doctor no idea says I must talk to nurse tomorrow I said I need to take my insulin today how much you on he said I said 22 mil that is not a high dose I don't think he said you will have to ring hospital if you can not wait till tomorrow I do not know where to start at this time of night should I just take same amount until tomorrow or miss dose thanks Elaine
 
Hi Elaine :) Can you confirm the names of your old and your new insulins for us? How many injections do you normally have and when?

It's poor that you couldn't get help from your doctor. No wonder you're concerned.

Hi thank you for your reply sorted now my daughter rang the doctors back and had a few words with them they called me back said to take same amount of insulin and make an appointment with nurse my daughter is not very happy she as arranged to see manager at the practice to put a complaint in thank you
 
Your daughter is right to complain! I think it's horrendous that they changed your medication like that without talking to you at all, and then they added to it by dismissing you when they knew you were stressing about it! Grrr
