Help ...Increased thirst ....;(

I have increased thirst ... Quite bad and am drinking some 7 litres of fluid a day ...waking at night thirsty and my eyes are dry. But water up after drinking .... Do I need to mention this and see a doctor . type 2 / metformin 2x 500 mg a day. Propranolol and ramipril for Bp Is this normal with diabetes diagnosed 5 years ago . Any helpful comments would be great ! Thanks ! ;)

Thanks for your reply.... No I haven't .... You prompted me to test just done a reading of 10.5 that's quite high I think !! I ate 2 hours ago .... And took a metformin ... Think I better get a check up !! ;) thanks !!
 
Hi. 10.5 is a bit on the high side but not enough to cause thirst. You need to test your blood sugar failry often to see what foods affect you and the degree of spiking. Metformin has a longer term effect so taking one will not be reflected immediately in your blood sugar. Are you having a low-carb diet?

Yes, thanks daisy... A low carb ....and mostly mediteranean diet... I think I will test often over the next few days.. I last thing I want is more meds .... Thanks again ! ...and may the force be with you ;)
