Welcome to the forum @Wolf_Mitch. This does soud like it might be diabetes to me. Lethargy, intense thirst. Wait until you get the results back before you start worrying. But fear not, you are in safe hands here. Get back to with the results so we can get you started. Good luck with the results.

@Wolf_Mitch When they do the blood test, they could also do an additional fingerprick test that would give an immediate result. I'd ask them to do that too.

There are a number of causes of tiredness, and thirst too, so best to wait to see what your tests show.

First up, many have been exactly where you are.
Secondly, it would only prolong your symptoms if you don't have your bloods tested.
Thirdly, it could be something other than diabetes, but that is extremely unlikely. Your thirst symptoms are classic.
If you're Type 2, you may well find that decreasing the amount of carbs you eat will help with the tiredess, as you stop the rollercoaster of sugar rush followed by slump/tiredness. You could do that straightaway as a trial.
If you're Type 1 and if your tiredness comes from bad sleep, going onto insulin should help resolve the tiredness, and help you sleep better.

Has your blood not been tested by a finger-prick test by a GP/nurse ?
Have you been losing weight ?
