If your blood sugars have been high for a long time, your brain is used to compensating for the glucose that is distorting your vision. Give it a week or two, and don't run out to get new specs. (Unless it's cheap reading glasses to tide you over).

As for hunger, why are you hungry? Are you eating enough? You're not supposed to starve yourself, you know... And if you cut out carbs, you have to up the fats. Add more fats into your meals, like bacon, avocado, mayonnaise, cheese, fatty meats/poultry, eggs, full fat greek yoghurt, pork scratchings, butter, olive oil or coconut oil, nuts etc... Stuff that fills you right up. I eat twice a day, but they're pretty big, filling meals. Hunger doesn't really factor into things. It's not just about cutting carbs, it's about finding the right balance for you. https://josekalsbeek.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-nutritional-thingy.html <--This might help.

Anyway, with your eyesight going wonky, that's basically a good sign. Your blood sugars are coming down. Yay! Do you have a meter? You really do need one, to see your progress. But the eyesight is an indicator, so... That's reason for hope right there.
Good luck!
Jo
