OMG laughing here. I would drive everyone demented as I so anti carb (the principle not the forum member). I would charge big bucks and have them run for the hills at lunch time

Give them the low carb gen, then put out sammiches for lunch - those who choose a sammich fail the test!

Sarnie's SARNIE'S - BREAD - you need you post moderated for sweary words

In your place I'd go up to about 100g of carb per day for 3 days. That should sort out the ketosis! After your day of tests it should take about 3 days of low-carbing to use up all the extra carbs and get you back into ketosis. That's according to The Good Doctor A.

That's Atkins not Asimov, of course  .

I'm probably eating around 100g a day at the moment (still not properly back on track after Inverness) and my fasting BGs are consistently at 5.4, which I assume means that my previous weight loss has helped with the insulin resistance. Sadly that knowledge allows me to be weak-willed. As does this horrible cold weather.

Best of luck at the hospital, Unbeliever.

IThanks Viv. If only it WAS the hospital! Instead it is the dreaded GP Practice. I suppose the testing business itself is fairly amusing . It takes about 3 people , maybe one nurse, and a couple of HCAs about 20 mins to do a blood test ,weifg and bp test, mainly because hey are all falling over each other.
Sometimes i get the menopausal nurse who insists on giving me full deatails {unasked} fanning herself and opening all the windows on the coldest day.
At other times I get the sppoky one who shows an almost ghoulish interest in my eye injections and wants a full description.
I usually disappoint her by telling her its OK ! Then sometimes we get he office manger who "loves" doing the phlebotomy.
Very disturbing. The main surgery is a few miles away from this village . I sometimes suspect alien possession and wonder if i am having encounters of the third, or even fourth, kind.

BW, Nothing wrong with Asimov! Haven't you read about his diet?
