An awful lot.
I am back to locuming around the place from tomorrow and realised today when l went out to stock my food up it is a mine field. Before it was easy, awful microwave meals but now on LCHF :eek:o_O
Lunch is salady stuff ...sorted,
Breakfast scrambled eggs ...sorted
Dinner is the problem. The majority of places only have microwaves. I had an idea and bought a 4 pack of boil in the bag fish for this week. Which is fine l will need 4 dinners Monday thru to Thursday home Fridays. I am not a fish eater only the odd bit so will be bad enough to have that all week.

Anyone any ideas for low carb food please l can do in the microwave. I now only eat the odd meal of stew, when Brian passed l lived for over a year on stews...total overdose:oops:
I could take the slow cooker but my skills in the kitchen are not good... dogs have turned my cooking down :arghh: and l know it says you can do all sorts in the slow cooker "but!" :sorry:
And hub looks on microwaves like we look on carbs so he is no use for advice.

Idiots guide to any ideas please

Wasnt running it down am grateful for all ideas an occasional soup is fine, l have tried more but it doesnt happen :(

Frankfurtas? If you've got a george foreman, sauages and burgers?

I'm going to visit my mother and father in law next week. They are very accommodating, but I want to make things easier so I am going prepared. My preparations may be useful to you too. (All of this is easy to make, two months ago I could not make an omelette and I have managed fine with these).

http://www.lowcarbdiabetic.co.uk/Recipes.htm. Look at the flax meal loaf, I have made it a couple of times using oregano to season, and it's very tasty. If you have time and can get the ingredients I would suggest giving these a go. Then while you are there you just need to buy some vegetables and/or meat that is ready to eat (ham, smoked salmon etc) and you are good to go!

Dont like frankfurters and only have odd sausage or burger and no GF grill.
See not such an easy problem to solve l dont think l am fussy till l look at what l dont eat and now cant eat it shrinks the option pool :-\

Will try the cauli :-)
l avoid bread since t2 and for me thats best 1 slice leads to lots like some folks are to chocolate.
Will look at the link tomorrow though for other just about to l hope fall asleep up for 04:30
many thanks

No problem, happy to help :)
My suggestion for a meal would be to try the cauliflower rice, adding a nice salad into the mix. My personal view is that anything can be made better with some red bell pepper, so all my salads include this. You could also make a 'cheese puff' as recommended by Dr Bernstein. Get some sliced cheddar (or slice some cheddar if you are feeling extravagant), and microwave a couple of slices on grease proof paper for around 30 seconds. Take out and leave for a couple of minutes to solidify. Spread with Mayo/mustard/anything of your choosing and add a slice of ham and some lettuce, using the cheese like a sandwich. Quick and easy to make!

Sometimes I make extra when I make the evening meal and just take that with me. Puy lentils, spinach leaves and bit of chicken breast or salmon for example. You can buy pre cooked salmon and chicken from supermarket! Hope this helps!

Oh and Greek yoghurt and berries!

Yogurt out kicks bg up worked out my lunch culprit last week so that joins the :-(
Veg is easy and l eat a fair bit, but l am not a fish eater and not sure how pre cooked chicken would warm up in a microwave, wouldnt it go rubbery?

Nother thing l hate cold food l even microwave salad (just a quick zap) and ice cream. l do/did eat ice cream if it was really really hot then l wouldnt microwave it.
Hub has done me some sausage and picnic boiled eggs to munch for breakfast...am at work in car park at the moment...open at 8am. l am forcing it in

Berries l have with cream at lunch each day...being adventerous this week got "berries of the forest" normally just eat raspberries.
