I'm type 2, and after two miscarriages in 5 months, I've been left feeling really low which has had an impact on my diet and control of my diabetes. I keep forgetting to take my medication, snacking all the time. Was just wondering if anyone else had ever 'fallen off the wagon' and what they did to get get back on track??

Everybody has but you have good reason.

My motivation is the visit to the DN (Headmaster's study) every six months. I get a kick out of showing her that what I eat has more effect than the pills.

Hi hoskers,:)
Just make sure that you are getting proper medical guidance taking into consideration your personal requirements.
The quicker you you get back on track the better,
I also think Squire Fulwood has a very good point," what you eat is more effective than pills" So start eating healthy food with good control now.
Falling off the wagon is easy, jumping back on is a little harder, maybe a kick up the a** might help.
I should know cause I have a sore bum:):):)

I am so sorry for what you have been through....but keep smiling and keep trying I am sure if you are meant to have a baby you will do,,, I wanted a baby so much in my teens and could not conceive then found i had Hypothyroidism and with in two years had a baby..and another a few years after that ...I did not give up keep smiling ...keep trying....:) mega hugzzzz

I'm so sorry to hear of your losses and the impact this has had on you.

Traumas can have an effect on us T2's. Be gentle on yourself. Don't beat yourself up for falling off the wagon, most of us would in your situation, but I would urge you to get back on the wagon as soon as you can and rebuild your physical and emotional strength. When you feel able, take your diabetes in hand so that you can hold off any future deterioration in the condition.

Perhaps start by replacing snacks for healthy ones, or giving them up completely?

Be kind to yourself and remember you are worth looking after.

Have no advice regarding low carb other than it is your decision. I feel so much better on LCHF so find it easy to stick with it, but we are all different.

Someone mentioned hypothyroidism. Get your thyroid checked as low thyroid is known to cause infertility/miscarriages. And memory loss too

Trauma.. Move on..and try again.

Never give up...30days in row of doing anything (like stop smoking, lower carbing) and that 30day is the crunch point. Get pSt that n you on yoyr way to suceeding.

I can't help ref miscarriages. Wish I could. I couldn't have kids. However.. Take the folic they advise, try the low carbing, watch your levels and perhaps (i hope) 3rd time lucky!!x
