Came across a book, maybe some of you might already know about called 'how to stick to a diet' by Derek doekper. I've read loads of advice on what to eat etc etc, we all know WHAT we should be eating its just actually sticking to it! I liked this book because it was written by a guy who had been there and done his own research. It's not a book on what to eat. It's a book on the mental/emotional side of loosing weight and eating healthy and I really think it's the missing link of what most 'diets' miss out on.

I particularly like that he tells you not to 'go on a diet' as this tells you that you will at some point come off the diet. Which makes sense if you want to sustain long term weight loss.

Found it really useful as I'm a bit of an emotional eater. What I eat also seems to have a big effect on my energy levels and mood, and I'm finding the suggestions, mean I'm actually enjoying eating healthy not feeling deprived like so many times before. Just thought I'd share it with like minded folks. Only think that annoys me is he isn't a particularly good writer, but if u can look past that, the advice is sound.
