Hi all

Novamix30 as the name indicates its a mixtard insulin .

Please DO keep a close eye on your blood sugar levels .

Maybe consider a suited tea tonight with taking your wife's insulin .
Can you talk about this with the mrs ... ?

I put it im my first post, think it was 35 and then 20? I am feeling fine, if I go low I will eat a choc bar, going to eat soon anyway,

"Maybe consider a suited tea tonight" sorry what's this mean?

I will monitor closely every hour, make sure I dont go low,

Diabetes... woke up this morning 16.5, took 30 from the pen (tbh I dont know how much that is in ml) so took a test again just now... 15.6. *** is going on?? so I just took 25 from the pen again, can someone clue me up as to why its not going down???? thanks, meant to be type 2, seems I could be type 1 if this is happening

This indicates 30 units - plus - another 25units !
Thats 55 units ?
Wonder if this guy is really okay ?
Tony please let your ' mrs' know and keep testing your blood sugars too .
.

Tony,it's not as simple as "if I get low I'll eat a chocolate bar"....You may appear fine but drop low in your sleep during the night which is a whole different ball game.

Hi. Hopefully after a few hours things will settle OK for you. It does look like you need to reduce your weight to reduce insulin resistance and blood sugar level. That's means reducing your carbs. Your Gliclazide could be increased by the GP; it may or may not make much difference. I was on 320mg/day for a few years sadly with little effect. If after your weight comes down, your blood sugar is still difficult to control then insulin becomes a possible med for you. If you are still quite young Late onset T1 is always a possibility, but you need to get the weight down first separate out the issues. Tests can be done if suspected.
