Hello all i am new here i was diagnosed 4 weeks ago and i think i am coping well i am a 19 year old i was suffering from severe thirst and falling asleep alot so i had the classic symptoms. i went to my doctors and my blood sugar was 40 mmol and the doctor said i had severely high ketone levels and am lucky to be here as i could be dead or in a coma i also suffered liver damage but i am recovering slowly but am feeling better by the day and was back in work the next week 8) i am currently about 5 and 6 mmol wich is good duz any one know of a place i can find to convert mmol into the american reading ???? by the way i am from liverpool uk lol

Hi and welcome. I am new myself,although not diabetic. My son is 21 and was diaganosed 7 years ago. We also live in Liverpool. Hope you are getting loads of support from your family and friends.
