Hi I,m new to diabetes UK
I have had type 1 diabetes for nearly 50 years now, I have been taking insulin injections from the age of 6 years old, I have had my ups and downs with the complaint but have always got through it with the problems, I lived in a diabetic hostel in Palingswick House in Hammersmith W6 London UK

I am just about to go onto an insulin pump, this will be a ROCHE COMBO SPIRIT PUMP

I have been trying to find people who were in the home. I wonder if you remember Sonia we were the only two girls. I injured my left leg while at hte home when we all went swimming.
Please private message me as i would love to know all about your story, I am 42yrs old and was diagnosed at the age of 6yrs old. I was in the home 1978/79 i was only there a year.
