Hello Guys, I am very glad I have joined Diabetes UK forum.
I'm posting about an issue and I wish somebody with expert knowledge would answer and give me an advice if possible.
I'm 58 years old, 71kg weight, 177cm height, type 1 diabetic since 2009, athletic body with regular sports and exercise, healthy diet and lifestyle, I have a small fat lump on my belly due to 15 years insulin injection, it's not big but I don't like it, how can I get rid of that? should I continue losing weight? do more abs exercises? my BMI is ideal and I feel I'm in my best shape ever , even better than prior diabetes, I would appreciate any comment and advice, have a lovely and healthy day for all.

I have some lipohypertrophy that I developed during my first pregnancy (and my son is now 33) which has persisted throughout the years, despite the fact that I haven't injected into it for years/decades. A previous GP suggested I could have it surgically removed, but I haven't bothered, since I don't think I would be able to use that area again even if I did have it removed, and I'm still 5kg above my ideal weight so it's not particularly obvious.

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing but if we are I'd suggest asking your GP?

Good luck, and if you get any helpful tips I'd be interested in hearing them.
