hi my name is mark . i was diagnosed with type 2 in January 2012 . i have constantly struggled with my weight for years and as a result of that i got diabetes
i went to my clinic 3 months ago and was told it was getting out of control and if i didn't address it i was at risk of a major heart attack within two years .
the doctor put me on a vlcd diet and it was extremely hard but would like to announce i have done it .
3 months ago i weighed 21.5 stone and my glucose level was 11.9
now 3 months later im now 16.5 stone and my glucose is 4.7

i still have a way to go to i want to get down to 14.5 stone and i will but the good news is my doctor has said my diabetes is now at a level of a normal man and as long as i continue to manage it should stay that way
word cannot explain how happy i am that i finally have realized it can be done .

If you try and find some activities that keep your body moving during the day, doesn't have to be a gym, anything will do, even gardening if you have one, it will help a lot with insulin sensitivity.

And treat yourself to some good cookbooks and discover the world of healthy foods and meals. Make cooking a fun thing. A good starting point isThe Hairy Dieters: How to Love Food and Lose Weight and Hairy Dieters Eat for Life. WH Smiths always have them in on a special low priced offer. Lots of easily adapted recipes, great food and you don't need any special skills to make it!

It is for me! Never will be good in the kitchen! Nice and simple for me, same with DIY, must be my thumbs, boiling water took me twenty years! Lol!

Ah, you need a slow cooker then. Basically bung everything in, turn it on and leave it for several hours.

Best get a book to tell you what sort of things you should bung in but if you start with beef, tomatoes and onion, you'll end up with something very tasty.
