Hi, Was diagnosed last summer as a T-2. I am wondering though if I am not a T1.5 with my sudden onset and huge weight loss not typical of T-2's. I am doing more checking on this and have been reading your expert board which I am finding very interesting unlike some other boards I belong to.

So I am some where between both worlds. Right now I am on Diet/ exercise and Metformin. My numbers are controlled and I am ok.

I am from the states (Minnesota) so I will have to learn to do your conversions on everything now.

conversion is easy. I don't know my 18 times table, but I do know X9 and x2, so I combine them.

Welcome to the Forum. Have a good look around and if there is anything you need to know, just ask. There is usually somebody with an answer here. As Hana said, conversion is easy. Just divide or multiply by 18 depending on whch way you want to convert. E.g. 31mg/dl / 18 = 1.72 mmol/l.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I really like the design of your website. Kudo's to those who designed it. Very easy to navigate around and with wonderful graphics and links. :D

I am going to explore many of the posts. I will post though if I have a question.

I will work on my math too. Not a big deal to do the conversion. If we wouldn't have it the wrong way in the states I wouldn't have to convert......
