Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum having only been diagnosed with type 2 in March this year. I'm currently on Insulin & 2000mg Metformin so you can see that I'm pretty new to it. Hopefully I can gain a lot more understanding of my condition through the forum. Cheers.

Hi chris and welcome i am new myself being diaagnosed in july type 2 as well no meds just diet controlled what was your hba1c mine was 7.2 so am doing my best to lower it.have a good look around the site as i have found it invaluable in helping me sort out what to do to help myself and if you need to know anything there is always someone here to help best wishes lynne
 
Hi Chris.
Welcome to the forum.

Have a good look around all the areas and if you have any questions then just ask away. Be aware that many of the successful members on here do not go along with the mainstream medical and dietary advice propogated elsewhere. Others stick to it rigidly. It can get confusing but we will clear up that confusion, hopefully ?
 
Hi and thanks for the welcome. I must admit that I am still finding it a little difficult to come to terms with at the moment. I suffered a Stroke in September last year (2008) and was then diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in the following March. Anyway I am on the way to getting the beast under control,I hope. Lynne my hba1c was 10.2 but is now down to 8 so going in the right direction.
