Hi, I'm type 2, been diagnosed longer than I care to remember! Now tablet controlled but got a shock on Monday when seeing an Endicronologist for first time who tells me that I may have to go on injected insulin, because my blood sugars are high, at the moment they are constantly running in the high teens low 20's and I feel absolutely ****, looking forward to reading this site to get some good advice

Hi jan123.

Welcome to the forum. Have a good look around all areas.

If your Bg numbers are high you might benefit from reading the success stories on here as well as some dietary advice in the Food Forum, the Low and also the Non-Low Carb areas. Insulin is not the only option, most people can reduce their Bg numbers significantly by reducing their carbohydrate intake.

hya and welcome to the forum, have a good look around and ask as many questions as u need to :D

Well, bad news for me, have to attend the clinic on Monday to be taught how to inject myself! feeling very fed up but hopefully the use on insulin will make me feel better, also have to have a stomach and pelvic scan on Saturday but hopefully the aches in my side are just my pancreas saying enough and that will also feel better when I start on insulin
