I know i might sound a bit dumb here but i dont have use of my hands so i dont re fill these and wasn't expecting him to be going away it was last minute could someone talk me through this so i can get a family member to do this for me please?

Thank you

We don't appear to have anybody around to help at the moment. Hopefully someone will be along at some point ?

First of all are you still on Insulatard ? Secondly is it a pen you are using with 3ml cartridges for use in a Novopen Device ?

Can you tell us what type of Pen you use?

I use NovoPen 3 for my Novorapid 3ml bottles. To change them I unscrew and dispose of the needle, unscrew the bottle housing and retract the plunger. I then place a new bottle in the housing and screw it back onto the base of the Pen and then of course screw a new needle on.

As already stated NHS24 will be your best course of action should all else fail or should you be unsure of the procedure.

Ali :)

as already said, i would get a friend/relative to try ringing nhs24,
hope you get sorted and manage to have a good xmas :D

Hi

I hope you have figured out what to do now with your insulin pen. They are fairly easy to refill with a cartridge.
This is Novo's http://www.novonordisk.com/diabetes/hcp ... lash=false

Lilly's pen is similar but you have to push the plunger back up instead of winding it like Novo's.

Most instructions for using pens are on the web. You can even find them on Youtube.

Hope you get sorted and have a nice Xmas
