Yes it counts! I love the Northumberland coast, in fact even though I live in Italy I come home every year and spend my summer holidays on the beaches and visiting the castles, especially Alnwick which my son loves.. Northumberland is a really beautiful place, so I am not in the least surprised you loved Bamburgh, it’s such a gorgeous vision. It makes me happy when other people see the beauty of our region. Although I have to say the last time we were there the beach was so windy that we were almost blown away, but it didn’t matter we covered our heads and faces with our beach towels and pretended to be part of Laurence of Arabia’s adventures in the desert
