What kind of reading would I have when my monitor reads hi?

Probably high 20s or above. Please wash hands and retest after checking strips are in date and maybe trying a new pack.
How are you feeling? Call 111 if reading is confirmed by another test.

Blood sugar monitors meassure blood sugar from 0.6 mmol to 33.3 mmol.
If your reader show LO it is less than 0.6 mmol, and if it shows HI you have blood sugar above 33.3 mmol.

At least that what my accu-check manual says.

Ok thank you. I did that test at 5.50 before I got ready for work. On my break at 9.40 it was 17 something. I felt fine, normal no different.

@Sarah69 good to hear that it has come down and that you feel OK. 16 is still quite high though. Do you usually run that high or had something unusual happened?

Yes it does as I’ve had issues with savoury food for a long time.
