most of us test our bloods with a blood monitor, the doctors dont recommend it but we all use them, we do a finger prick test before we eat and then one 2 hours afterwards and it gives us a clue as to if that food has effected our bloods too badly, i doubt your doc will give you one so you would have to buy one from the chemist if you fancied giving it a try, its a great way to monitor ourselves but the testing strips can be pricey
