Hi,
I am finding my normally well controlled levels a bit higher than usual. Today, when it was cool, I did a usual 30 Kettlebell workout. I've only had coffee, water, 2 weetabix with soya milk but feeling ropey. BG 15.7 Now I think it's the high BG which is making me feel rough rather than the other way round. Anyone else experiencing higher levels in this heat?
Thank you

Indeed. Mind you, I would experience heightened blood glucose levels with the cereal alone, add in the heat and the excercise and Whoah! Suggest you try to find a cool place to rest and hydrate. Hope you feel better soon.

It settled down for me now, but yes.....the heat up here in Scotland a week or two back was a nightmare for my blood sugars.....

and then the fight to get back in range quickly sends you violently low....

I find high BG is a Catch 22 - it exaggerates any sniffs, niggles and pain which pushes my BG up higher.
Eventually, I can't work out whether I feel rubbish because my BG is high or my BG is high because I feel rubbish.

The heat affects each of us in different ways.
I believe (but this is only an unproven theory of mine) this is due to how we cope with the heat. If we like the heat, it has little impact. If we get stressed by the heat, the stress pushes our BG up.

I hope you get a chance to cool down and start feeling better.
