I didn't feel very hungry today so didn't fancy a meal. I've been grazing all day. I had a total of 4 oz prawns, an avocado pear, a tub of cottage cheese and a cuppa soup. Because I didn't actually have a 'proper meal' I also forgot to take my Metformin and I've just tested my BG and it's 13.4.

Would not taking the meds make that happen or is there something in the foods I've eaten today that would raise my BG so much?

And should I leave the Metformin now and take my usual dose tomorrow at the usual time?

This is only my experience but when I dont eat properly I seem to dump insulin from my liver and get big spikes.

Ahh I see. Yes I've been learning about that and I think you're probably right. Thanks for your input. :)

You've been busted by the typo police:
You dump glucose from your liver, your pancreas will dump insulin in response to the glucose...
