My blood sugar before bed is 31.1. Had my normal long acting insulin.mhow much short acting would anyone suggest I should have?

Depends on as @azure says, your correction factor.......

how many mmol does 1 unit drop you by......?

before the pump, at a level of 31.1, I would need 1 unit per mmol drop, so 25 units or so.....

this probably isn't what you would need though....

Wow, hope your bs came down over night and you're feeling ok. If you're not sure on corrections I'd ask your team for the Accucheck expert meter, that calculates insulin doses and corrections. It makes life much easier.
