I have been diagnosed 3 months now and managed to get control very early on and my BMs have been stable the whole time. I am carb controlled and today my BMs haven't been below 10 which is quite high for me. I have taken 10 units correction since 8pm and upped my night time lantus to 11 (normally 10) to see if that would help and it hasn't. After my lantus they actually went up again and I haven't eaten anything since teatime. I double checked my carbs all day and taken correct doses for what I had. I can't work out whats gone wrong. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to lower them?

Don't panic! You still could be in honeymoon phase. + I get random days where my bloods are up the left even tho I've carb counted everything correctly! Under 10 is still great! Don't beat yourself up about it. Remember blood sugars can be effected by anything, weather, stress, periods, moods, sleep. Anything and everything. It could just be a bad day. Take tomorrow as a new day. Don't do anything drastic with insulin because it may just be something like your stress levels or an infection working on you.

I've been diabetic from 2.5 now 21. If you need any other advise give me a shout! Xx
