I have indulged a little over Xmas and eaten food I don't normally eat and I also had a cold for a few days. I've noticed that now I've got back on track with food and testing my BS levels, they have risen quite high, especially after eating. Will I be able to get them back to how they were? I'm assuming that this is because I've just over indulged a little. Examples of readings : 8 FBS and 12 2HPM, one day it was 13 2HPM :-(

I indulged over xmas . I have a frestyle monitor , my daily average bs level increased from 6 to 8.1 in four days . A week of lchf dieting reversed it . hope that helps .

@carina62 A cold would raise your bs levels too. Mine went up when I had a cold and sore throat last year. It did take a week to get back to my previous figures. Yours will come down too.

I have been ill since last Sunday with a flu type virus, and found out yesterday I have tonsillitis. This had made my not want to eat, and my levels have been up and down
