Your before and after meal numbers show you that your meal worked very well for you, a difference of 0.3 mmol/l is basically the same number.I have been lchf for a week now and I've eaten nothing carbs today , before tea it was 11.7 and now it's 12 I just don't get why it's not coming down . More importantly, your hba1c of 120 a month ago means that your average blood glucose was over 18. You managed to get it down to around 12, which is a very large improvement!
It's likely that what you are seeing is your liver doing its best to keep your BG at the levels it's been at recently. Your liver will have accepted the previous high BGs as "normal" and will be trying to get you back where it thinks you should be, by making new glucose and adding it to your system.I have been lchf for a week now and I've eaten nothing carbs today , before tea it was 11.7 and now it's 12 I just don't get why it's not coming down . Thankyou , I've noticed mine goes up if I don't eat for a long whileIt's likely that what you are seeing is your liver doing its best to keep your BG at the levels it's been at recently. Livers are slow learners, and it could take a while before it gets used to your lower levels as a new normal. I think it took mine about four months to completely get used to it - and left to itself when I fasted, my BG went up.
