So this is weird, i also have an A1C of 42, i also have a bad shoulder impingement and i have a facial neuralgia! What are the chances!
My fasting levels are around 6-6.5, the shoulder is very bad, i struggle to sleep but it hasn't raised my fasting level much so it's strange that yours has had such a jump. Stress and poor sleep can really affect fasting levels i find but its a big jump to 7.8. I would get an A1C retest and see how that pans out. There may something else going on, eg. An infection, or virus or something.
Out of interest what caused your neuralgia do you know? Mine is pretty bad and i don't know what is behind it. Specialists dont think its related to my shoulder injury.
Just a thought, have you had any steroid injections in your shoulder as that can raise blood sugar?
Absolutely fine. I wish that was my readingDear all I have tested my blood this morning. I had dinner last night round 9pm and tested this morning round 7am before eating anything. The result was 5.4.is this no
Hi thanks Ricky I wish you well please note I'm not diabetic. Is just when I done my blood text the GP said it was high A1C was 42Absolutely fine. I wish that was my reading
You doing very well thank you for your advice I'm taking it on board.Let me explain. The HbA1c is a measure of your blood sugar over the last 3 months. This is the reading the doctor will go by so you are what is called pre diabetic. If you want to lower the 42 you can do this in a few ways. 1. If you are overweight lose the weight. 2. Go on a strict low carb low GI diet and add exercise to this. This is the way I have managed to stay off medication for about 15 years now. However because my diabetes is inherited not due to overweight it is inevitable that sooner or later despite my sterling efforts I will end up diabetic rather than prediabetic.
Hope this is understandable .
