High numbers

Have you perhaps a DSN/pump team telephone number can call? seems to be several times recently, would seriously be seeking some medical advice.
Going to see if I can get hold of diabetes team now
This is just absolutely wiping me with these numbers!! Feel rough

gl :) my sugar levels are ok, however ketones fairly high feel like can't win sometimes eh :/ best wishes

I might well need to be corrected by someone on a Medtronic pump as I am on tslim, but certainly with tslim you set a daily max for your insulin and naturally to avoid severe hypos you will have been advised to keep it quite low and it will be based on what your typical total daily was, not on bad days like you are having. This will affect how much correction your pump will give you, it will need to ensure you have enough insulin in your total to keep giving your basal until midnight when it resets.
Nobody taught me this but when I struggled with similar on tslim I increased my total and it made a massive difference. I have a good friend on Medtronic so I will have a look at her pump when I see her next but I'm sure others can confirm if you can do this on Medtronic.
It might be wise just confirm with your team you are doing this, I let my dsn know I had done it and she was more than happy as it brought me back into range.

I have ordered the ketone strips but not received them yet
wonder if your dr's surgery can give you a few or pop upto a&e and get some? ensure when get hold of diabetic team let them know if dont have any if stay high for a few hours :/

Thanks - unfortunately my numbers are just running high
I’m honestly not sure how I would go about this safely if you see what I mean?

So I got a call back from a pump nurse
We have adjusted my insulin to carb ratio, from 10 down to 9 & 8
Will see what happens with these changes
She said I was welcome to ring her Friday if still no improvement
So I am really glad I managed to speak with someone

Hi
So a bit of a bad day today with numbers AGAIN. I changed the guardian 4 yesterday - first sensor (it said had expired?) next sensor from same batch luckily worked
Then throughout yesterday lots of sensor updating messages & also through the night - to the point I was awake from 2.30 for an hour - then up at 3.45am for work
When I got up it was still updating - :’did a finger prick - 11.4- so entered that in & corrected accordingly
Well from then it has been a blinking pain in the neck
I am attaching screenshot of this am
I was meant to be working til 12 today - needed up leaving at 7.30am - felt absolutely wiped from the diabetes & lack of sleep

I just don’t know what is going on? I feel I’m forever running high
The pump had given me 21 corrections over 2 hours - but I’m still out of sodding range??!!!

Sasha, I hope I don't offend as I don't know if you are male or female but could this be menstrual cycle related?
I never knew just how much my insulin needs change over the month until I started pumping. The week before my cycle starts my insulin resistance really goes up. Being on tslim I can use a separate basal rate but with Medtronic it would have to ' learn ' your changing needs over a few days. I know this wouldn't change your problem but could help understand! If I look at my 90 days result from g7 clarity I can still see a pattern once every 4 weeks of less time in range.

No offence taken I’m female - 39 years old
That was last week (my cycle)
I have asked my nurse this way back- she said I didn’t need to do anything as the pump would sort it for me

I rang Medtronic yesterday as the sensor was updating a lot - turns out the transmitter is out of date - October last year to my horror
I asked politely why there wasn’t an alert their end - so that they could dispatch me a new one?!!!
So they are sending out a replacement asap - the sensor ended up failing last night anyway - so I’m like ‍♀️‍♀
I do have a libre - I could use
Got up this am for work-19 didn’t go to work-felt hanging - so went back to bed
6.7 when I got up- haven’t eaten yet - had a cuppa
So now lost 9 hours of work/pay - gutted but in this instance my health was more important

My thoughts exactly - I believe it’s 12 monthsi
I was a tad disappointed- surely there is a way they can notify there customers or even better just automatically send out a new one when required

With Dexcom, the transmitters last for 90 days, but when it's got around 30 days to go (can't remember exactly), you get an alert on the Tslim pump itself, plus other alerts on the pump over the last 30 days.

Numbers now 18.1 ‍♀️ drinking lots of water
I live in a very cold cottage - heating not exactly great
Would this be affecting my blood. Sugars?

No, the cold wouldn't effect your sugars that much, I used to work outside all year and the extreme heat was the only change and still not that dramatic.
Something is definitely out, im not a Medtronic user but perhaps someone on here who is can help you find where your daily total insulin is and see what it is. It seems your pump isn't giving you the amount of insulin you need. Also check your correction factor and remember the pumps only give you about 80% of what you need to avoid hypos. These are also things your nurse team should be able to help you with.

Thank you
See I never realised the pump only gives 80% of corrections
I have emailed my nurse again, hopefully she’ll respond soon
My numbers are currently 7 ☺️
I have put the freestyle libre on
I’m hoping to receive the new transmitter tomorrow had delivery confirmation
