I know this isn’t the place for medical advice and a trip to the gp is on the cards!
But here’s my situation.. I manage my daughters type 1 (since sept) it’s been an eye opener for us and a big learning curve.
As a family thing (we have 2 spare BM readers) we all did a glucose test and all dam in at @5.
This last week I’ve been feeling really tired, my eyesight seems to have diminished slightly and I have trouble focusing. I have been drinking more water than usual and am constantly thirsty. I did a test this morning when I woke up, just as a ‘let’s see’ and the reading said ‘HI’ indicating glucose over 26. We tested the meter on my wife, she was 5.6 - so no error on the meter.
I’ve been out all morning, drunk lots of water and had a yogurt.. another test and I’m still HI.
Should I be worried? I can’t get into the doctors today as no appointments, don’t want to be wasting anyone’s tine at a&e - they have more than enough to do.
Thoughts?
