So because I haven't been taking my insulin for 12 months (I'm taking it now) and my levels have been running high is it normal to feel a little unwell as my sugars come down to a normal level...?

You might feel a bit hypo when you are not really (false hypo). It doesn't need treating like a real hypo but best to check bloods just to make sure you're not really low. The false hypos should improve as you become more used to the lower blood sugars.

Thanks yes it does feel like a hypo but I've tested my sugars and they are a normal level just not used to it :)

Just wanted to drop you a note to say well done - it's good to hear you're getting on top of this.

Sometimes when sugars are coming back into the 'normal' range it's easy to confuse a hyper with a hypo, but does get better in time, just keep testing, before mealtimes and the most important one as this is the ideal time to correct.

We're all here to support each other so anything anyone can help with then let us know - it's always work in progress but it's nice to know your supported here - big hug x

I'm glad you're still on the right path :) you'll feel pretty rubbish for a while as things settle but soon enough you'll notice the benefits!
