Mine has reduced significantly, I was at 160/100 when I started 4 months ago...
Mine was slightly elevated when I was diagnosed, but that was due to ongoing cancer treatment. When the cancer treatment finished it dropped to around 120/70 on resting and has remained stable around or below that level for the past 3 years. My diet does not seem to affect it at all.
thanks for you response, maybe it is the metformin then... I have always had an excellent number like 120/70 all my life even when being lazy and reallt fat....if I have to stop metformin my life gets more difficult as I then must go really low in carbs...
it gets my average blood glucose number down in average by around 1-1,5 mmol every day, which mean I am in the acceptable 5.5 area most days...In what way do you feel the Metformin helps your BS levels?
No meds but I take supplements daily, well looks really good your numbers... congratulations hmm an amazing progress I think, are you on any medications too ?

Are these your morning fasting numbers or your average daily numbers including post meal?
I'm only asking because Metformin only helps to a limited extent, and many on here that have lowered their HbA1c sufficiently to be taken off Metformin say they haven't noticed any difference. Just a thought.
hey all you guys that eat high or higher fat, have this eating style affected your blood pressure or is it unaffected by eating higher fat amounts ?
I ask cause my blood pressure has been raising since I had my diagnosis, wel actually along with taking metformin too.
I used to have a blood presure of like 119/70 and now it is in spite of loosing weight and getting fit more like 140/92 most of the time to my surprise actually..would have thought it would become better as I bacome more fit..
is it the eating style, am I just unlucky or is it the metformin affecting me in a bad way conserning blood pressure.. my kidneys have been affected by metformin as these pill made me have to get up more times at night when I took them also late in the afternoon, now take whole dose in the mornings...
just worrying...
it was coffee that sent my bp up.
My blood pressure went up during the time I was taking metformin and statin, dropped back when I stopped. It was only a slight increase, but outside my normal readings.
My BP has always been around the 105/65 mark and eating a higher level of fat (at least double previous amounts since going LCHF) has not affected it. My intake of carbs is about 50 gm per day and I am varying the fat level to try to keep my weight at about 9 st 10 lbs. I am not taking any meds so perhaps it is the metformin that is upping your BP. Mind you at one time people at work would say I was so laid back, I was almost horizontal!
